So you think you're a wolf? Totems & spirit guides

This is a fictitious interview. My responses however are truthful.
Interviewer:
Lets talk about those furs who have animal totems or spirit guides as opposed to animal souls.

Me:
Hang on, the things that make someone furry aren't mutually exclusive groups. An individual can belong to any one, any mixture, or all of the catagories we mentioned. There are lots of animal soul furs with animal guardians.

Interviewer:
So, how does it work, its all that Native American Indian stuff isn't it?

Me:
Actually this is a very broad group - covering anyone who has a spiritual connection with animals that isn't having an animal soul. There are furs with guardian spirits who are animals, or manifest themselves in animal form, or perhaps there own presence in the spiritual plane has the form of an animal.

Its not just the Native American Indians' belief systems either, lots of religions have gods with an animal form. That's where the word "anthropomorphic" comes from - orignally it was only used to describe a god taking on the form of a man. The ones that appeared as animals were "zoomorphic".

Interviewer:
Do you have animal guides?

Me:
Not that I'm really aware of. Its one of those aspects of being furry I've yet to explore. Hence its not really an area I feel I can comment on a great deal. I have begun to wonder though about the number of times I have found help from foxes.
