I'm never sure which came first - the desire to be an actress or the strong affinity with sequins, but there's no doubt I feel at home in places that stock exotic fabrics and glittery trimmings and Berwick Street is a showbiz dream. Choose from short-pill ponyskin which is made to look like anything from giraffes, dalmatians and tigers to cows, leopards and zebras (not to mention something they call "bald dog"). All these cost £35 a metre. Alternatively, you could go for some seriously luxurious mink or wolf-skin lookalikes for £60 a metre. The shop will send you samples if you tell them what you're after.
