Saturday 26 October:

Woke up hungry, but warm, inside the various layers I was wearing. The temperature in our part of the barn's attic was a shade over 10 degrees. Perhaps slightly alarming were the shafts of sunlight coming through the roof! At least we were still dry.

I was one of the first downstairs, and set about piecing together my parents elderly camping stove (now over twenty years old) in order to boil water for tea. As each of us took turns in the bathroom, expresso We seemed to be a few short; Lex and Rain clearly weren't morning people, but we couldn't account for ALW and Raz either.
