Anthrocon 2000 - Friday 30th June

Breakfast at Michaels Deli, then off to the first of the Spirituality meets. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this, and the practical exercises - I could feel the sensory shift starting during the "nose hair" one. A shame I never caught up with the follow on sessions, I always seemed to be elsewhere. The second was Ivan Repins first fursuit sig - and first programming casualty.

After a quiet moment for lunch (is it just the jet-lag, or do others have to take a break now and again?) I spent the rest of the day wandering around, catching brief chats with other furs. Looked around the art show: good to see more a-typical work like the cubist paintings, the drawing/photo montage, and a Terrie Smith drawing you could never have told was done by her.

Later I talked some with Dutch (inking another Misty Mouse piece) and bought one of his Sasha portfolios. I caught up with Kimba, Robin, Tirran, Jinx, and Tim off to dinner at Chilli's and accepted their invite (thanks!). I think this was the first time I had unconsciously worn my tail outside of a furry gathering - I noticed it as I awkwardly climbed out of the Tirran's explorer (I don't think I was the only one who was relieved to hear it start first time).

On the way back from Chilli's in the Explorer, Tirran and I got to talking about matters sexual (I guess if you've got a vehicle with the registration "2 YIFFY" then the matter will come up sooner or later). As a way of exploring my own problems he suggested that I read Associated Student Bodies.

Sneaked into the back of Kage's Story Hour - managed to catch most of this not-to-be-missed event. Then it was a chance for some quiet time before the alf party and a chance to catch up with faces old and new.
