Pretty much an exercise in wasting time, as after the excitement of packing we had 10 hours to flitter away until the plane left. Had brunch in the diner again, bought some more Presidents Choice cookies from ACME (it seems to be the plane journey that dries these things out). Found a Palm keyboard in Comp USA (you can't get these in .uk, not even by mail order from the US). Found Tower records rather curious as its not everyday you see Wiccan books on sale next to "Hello Kitty".
Back to the Hilton, and it was like the whole con had never happened. Not a fur to be seen. Uncle Kage showed up with two bulky looking individuals. He may have been off to collect his safe.
Met up with Harry on his way for a meal in Maxwells bar. It would be hard I think to have a meal with the wise old bear and not learn something, in this case the location of a few more pieces of my puzzle.
I leave this conference feeling wonderfully furry, better able to cope with the world and its troubles. Once again I understand that this group of furs truly is a community, an extended family. We take care of our own and are stronger for it. It is from this position that we can allow the values of furriness to leak out and enrich the lives of those others we share this planet with.
And finally ...
At the USAir check-in desk we were attended by an attractive strawberry-blond woman. Her name-tag read "Lana".
